Why is it important?

This study reflects the current picture of LIS community research profiles available on Google Scholar, whether they are faculty members or library practitioners.

Perspectives

Despite the worldwide emphasis nowadays on enhancing the visibility and impact of research, Pakistani LIS scholars are not maximizing the opportunity provided by this specific online profiling system. There is a role for academic librarians to support scholars in the adoption of new online platforms for communication and visibility.
