What is it about?
This study analyzes existing scholarly research on workforce nationalization in GCC countries, identifying key gaps and areas for further exploration in the field of HRM. The study found four perspectives on workforce nationalization and proposes future research avenues to enhance HRM practices and outcomes, including developing more comprehensive definitions of nationalization, identifying alternative approaches to improve employment of locals, and revising measures to integrate women in the national labor force.
