What is it about?
Researchers operate in an increasingly complex environment, requiring support from various stakeholders within their institution. This study examines how well university libraries in Pakistan are meeting researchers' needs.

Why is it important?
Overall, the RSS landscape in Pakistan is one in which university libraries have yet to maximize their full potential to support researchers. The authors have suggested a range of initiatives which libraries could undertake to bring the current standard of their RSS in line with best practice in international libraries.
Perspectives
The obvious desire on the part of these libraries to support researchers opens the door for them to investigate the potential for partnering with other stakeholders within their university to enhance support.
