What is it about?
This research explores how risk management (RM) practices can be improved in the global higher education (HE) sector by incorporating knowledge management (KM) concepts. The study aims to provide a roadmap for integrating RM into HE using a systematic approach while enhancing the use of KM in managing risks. Through qualitative analysis, the authors examined how KM supports enterprise-wide risk management (EWRM) and developed a practical model for its implementation. The findings suggest that KM concepts can help higher education institutions (HEIs) better manage risks and prevent unforeseen outcomes. The research also highlights the importance of adopting both top-down and bottom-up RM approaches.
