What is it about?
Innovation is a matter of deep interest for social scientists and practitioners as it facilitates sustainable organizations. Innovative work behaviour has multiple antecedents, and it is dependent on the capability to rapidly integrate diverse, interrelated categories of knowledge to address multiple complex issues and problems. The present study was conducted to identify the relationship of specific antecedents of innovative work behaviour (IWB) like workplace agility, organizational identity, and organizational solidarity. Data was collected from 364 gainfully employed respondents from across Saudi Arabia. The data, analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM), found a significant positive relationship between the identified antecedents and IWB. The findings of the study have many theoretical and practical implications, which are discussed. A few suggestions for future research are also presented. It is expected that the present study would act as a trigger for more research in this interesting area.
