What is it about?
The conventional practice of most rural farmers in Nigeria and Africa, in general, is to produce and sell their raw farm outputs without any value addition. The sales of their raw farm outputs tend to attract low price. For this reason, these rural farmers generate low returns from their farm investments. We find that improved access to support services is necessary to build the value addition capacity of the rural farmers.
