What is it about?
The "SOS" model is designed to make a 'Relational' Approach readily comprehensible. It focuses on assessing issues from three perspectives: 'Self-Other-Situation'. The use of 'SOS' is designed to alert people to think about the web of relationships and situations that help individuals flourish: all of us need help and support to thrive.

Why is it important?
The model is a radically psycho-social approach that promotes awareness of the power of our relationships with Others, and with environments/Situations, to affect how we feel and behave. As such, the model moves away from classic 'individualised' approaches, (focussing on assessment/diagnosis of one person/business), to include more complex and systemic perspectives.
