Why is it important?
Organizations today are struggling with what to do with the knowledge they have. As competition increases in the market place, what an organization knows internally can help provide a competitive edge. Often, organizations turn to quick solutions that simply wash out in the face of increasing turbulence. What this paper does is to provide a short and long term solution from the top down. A knowledge strategy that comes from the top to the bottom helps mobilize resources to gain competitive advantage.
