What is it about?
This paper shows how colleges and universities can support new approaches to addressing homelessness. Two examples are used: providing tiny homes to people experiencing homelessness and sending health workers instead of police to respond to some emergencies. Portland State University's Homelessness Research & Action Collaborative helped design, evaluate, and spread these approaches using a process that could be adopted at other universities.
