What is it about?

This study explores how social enterprises operationalize the value cycle to create a positive impact in practice. We observed stages previously addressed by scholars (value generation, value appropriation, and value devolution), and we identified an additional stage – value transformation – emerging from the data. While the initial three stages occur within social enterprises, value transformation unfolds within served communities. Thus, we propose a comprehensive social entrepreneurship value cycle encompassing generation, appropriation, devolution, and transformation of value
