What is it about?

Employment is crucial for helping individuals with criminal records avoid reoffending, but they often face challenges in finding and keeping jobs. This is especially true for those with prior sexual offence convictions, who encounter more barriers to employment. Our paper reviews existing research on employability and decision-making, focusing on the UK. We also examine the limitations of the 'Ban-the-Box' campaign for these individuals. We highlight the need for targeted research to develop effective employment interventions.
