What is it about?
How can companies ensure that their strategies don't just remain on paper, but are actually implemented? We studied how the popular goal-setting method, Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), helps organizations turn strategy into action. By examining a leading European financial services company, we discovered that OKRs accomplish more than just setting goals. OKRs facilitate communication, enhance transparency, empower employees to contribute to strategic priorities and increase cross-functional collaboration. Rather than strategy being handed down from the top, OKRs engage the entire organization in shaping and enacting it.
