We studied successful examples of collaboration and outlined eight different ways that nonprofits combine their efforts, ranging from affiliated programming to shared administrative operations to full-on mergers.

Why is it important?
Organizations are often hesitant to work deeply with other organizations because they have to give up some of their autonomy. However, collaboration is clearly a key for some organizations in righting the ship, saving money, or extending their programming.
