What is it about?

This study delves into the experiences of Indonesian care workers in Japan, highlighting their unique journey and the mental challenges they face. Through interviews with 18 Indonesian health-care workers, the research uncovers four main themes: the ease yet mental strain of the job, the personal fulfillment found in care work, the importance of a Muslim-friendly workplace, and the desire to extend their stay in Japan. These insights not only shed light on the complexities of international care work but also underline the need for supportive and inclusive workplace policies.
