What is it about?

This paper clarifies the uncertain conditions under which strategic decisions are made relate to one source of value only: autonomous revenue growth. To this end a novel framework is presented in which six sources of value can be identified and logically related to six practical value management levels.

Why is it important?

To reduce complexity, it is most useful to realize that only autonomous revenue growth carries the inherent and ultimately unavoidable uncertainty that justifies 'strategic' thinking. In the end it reflects the only incoming cash flow, all other cash flows are outgoing.

Perspectives

I have been using this framework to explain value creation to managers at all levels of organizations. It always proved to be most helpful.
