Why is it important?

Few studies compare the perceptions of emergency service providers and Deaf (DHH) community members.

Perspectives

The biggest difference were how DHH participants focused quite a bit on confusion, fear, and stigma, while emergency workers often framed their responses as part of a need to serve all people in the community.
