What is it about?
The paper brings an innovative approach for manned controlled aircraft. We proposed a control architecture using an artificial feeling of a flow field around the aircraft. That approach comes from birds' flight and control observation.

Why is it important?
The benefit of the proposed aircraft control concept is a reduction of accidents caused by loss of control in flight. The main reason for these accidents is called the human factor. We point out that the critical point is pilot-aircraft interaction.
Perspectives
Artificial haptic feedback in pilot-aircraft interaction might help transfer some control inputs from the pilot's overloaded visual modality to the touch modality.
