What is it about?
The assessment of daylight in rights of light cases differs from the assessment employed for planning purposes and ignores such things as window frames, glazing and internal reflectance. This paper compares results using the two methodologies and demonstrates that, mathematically, the results when ignoring the value of frames, glazing and reflectance, may be a valid approach provided that the correct sky model is employed.
