What is it about?
The report in (2018). IUCrJ, 5, 6–12 on 'diffraction and spectroscopic evidence for differences between enantiomers' implies that the differences which were observed with conventional neutron powder diffraction and vibrational spectroscopy, are a consequence of the difference in molecular chirality (of alanine). We argue that this is highly unlikely and propose alternative explanations for the observed phenomena.

The present state of the standard model of quantum theory and the results of targeted experimentation indicate that differences between enantiomers are many orders of magnitude smaller than those reported.
