Why is it important?
Why another glutamate dehydrogenase structure? The first to be solved was our structure for the GDH of Clostridium symbiosum, bacterial and NAD+ dependent. This one also is bacterial and NAD+dependent but sequence features strongly suggested it achieves its coenzye specificity in a different way. Hence the need for this new structure.
