What is it about?
X-ray holography is a lensless microscopy technique offering the potential for low-dose high-resolution imaging. The magnification in this lensless microscopy technique is obtained by placing a specimen in a diverging beam — similar to casting a shadow in the beam of a flash light. The magnification is controlled by variation of source and detection plane distance. The quality of the illumination in use is important to get high quality images, thus understanding i.e. characterising the illumination leads the way to obtain better images.
