What is it about?

Observation of four resonances caused by magneto-optical transitions in 2D-systems: two cyclotron resonances assisted by emissions of InAs-like and GaAs-like optic phonons, a combined (cyclotron-spin) resonance, and the combined resonance assisted by an emission of InAs-like phonon. Observation of these resonances was possible due to applying ultra-high magnetic fields up to 150 T.

Why is it important?

The combined (cyclotron-spin) resonance, and the combined resonance assisted by an emission of InAs-like In first time are observed in 2D-systems.

Perspectives

Thanks to the cooperation with the theoreticians W. Zawadski and P. Pfifer, it was possible to convincingly interpret the unique experimental results obtained at the Laboratory in Los-Alamos in overpowerful magnetic fields.
