We are exploring the potential for the sterile insect technique and this paper reports histological and other methods to determine the effects of radiation on the insects.

Why is it important?

Stink bugs are building in importance and several species are highly invasive hitchhikers, such as the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug. This study shows the effects of a high dose on spermatogenesis.
