Why is it important?
In a highly interconnected world, human mobility promotes the spread of diseases across boarders. Infectious diseases are therefore a transnational problem that cannot be eliminated by countries acting alone. By forming coalitions and increasing their cooperation levels, countries can achieve much higher vaccination levels at a lower cost than when acting alone.
