Why is it important?
This article is very important for us because this article confirmed as follows. Thrombotic activity of various carrot varieties has been compared using experimental in vivo thrombosis model (gold standard model) and in vitro shear-induced thrombosis/thrombolysis test using non-anticoagulated blood (Global Thrombosis Test, GTT). The in vivo and in vitro results were same, showing that this in vitro test can be used in humans as a bed side test to assess thrombotic status of patients with thrombotic disorders.
