What is it about?
Due to the presence of multiple blood vessels in the face, there is always a small possibility of vascular complications with HA filler injections. In this case there was involvement of chin and neck skin after accidental submental artery involvement after hyaluronic acid filler injection for chin region. All the parts of the affected zone were treat- ed with high-dose pulsed hyaluronidase protocol and resolution of the signs and symptoms was achieved within days after treatment with near-complete recovery with minimal sequelae.

Why is it important?
This case report establishes the role of high dose pulsed hyaluronidase in managing the HA filler related vascular obstruction. This case report also details about the differences between intravascular obstruction and extravascular compression after filler injection for quick diagnosis. It also emphasises the point that no area on the face is fully safe concerning vascular complication after HA filler injection.
