This article reviews the state of the art on climate change and human migration across different disciplines.

Why is it important?

The review identifies gaps in the literature and priorities for future research on human migration and climate change. Based on the assessment of the current literature, we also present implications for policy addressing climate change and migration.

Perspectives

The writing of this article brought together a broad group of scholars across different human and social sciences and it was really interesting to confront different viewpoints and arrive at a consensus across disciplinary borders on the state of the literature and identify the important issues for future research.
