What is it about?

Cells manufacture proteins to perform cellular functions, just as a country maintains a workforce. Not everyone is qualified to join the workforce, and some quality control system needs to be in place. Cells also have quality systems that retire proteins that are no longer good enough to do the job. The most prominent quality control in cells is the ubiquitination system that tags defect proteins for degradation. Just as a country sometimes need more people to join the workforce, and young kids and old citizens are recruited to work, cells also need such a mechanism to maintain sufficient workforce by softening the quality control. This is done by the deubiquitination system. It is this balance of Ying and Yang that keeps cells going. Overtime the balance of Ying and Yang changes and takes various forms. This paper focuses on the such changes.

Why is it important?

Yeah, everyone knows that the world cannot be inhabited by 7 billions of Donald Trumps ..... Some people have got to be one the other side.
