Homeless people have very poor health indices in Dublin and poor access to healthcare in Dublin in 2005. Their health did not improve during the economic boom experienced in Ireland in the late 1990s and early 2000s

Why is it important?

It demonstrates that 1. the benefits of an economic boom do not filter to those on the margins and 2. that the health indices of homeless people are amongst the worst in Irish society and 3. that despite the poor health, homeless people continued to have poor access to healthcare so confirming Tudor Harts Inverse Care Law.
