What is it about?

One of the foundational principles of General Relativity is that from the perspective of a free falling object the gravitational field vanishes. The question then arises; where does its gravitational energy go? That is where is it located such that energy momentum conservation is not violated. We show that the question can be readily answered within the framework of quantum gravity .

Why is it important?

Locating the gravitational energy density allows one to understand the properties of spacetime within the location. It also reveals the sources and nature of dark energy and dark matter and why the high energy quantum vacuum does not gravitate.

Perspectives

This work reveals the nature and origins of dark matter and dark energy from a quantum gravity perspective while simultaneously explaining the small value of the cosmological constant and its correct value.
