What is it about?
3D printing (or additive manufacturing) is emerging rapidly as a powerful tool to make new objects and to process novel materials. The paper describes recent advances that include improvements to printers to process plastic composites with hard particles such as boron carbide. Applications to make microfluidic devices and tools are also presented.
