What is it about?
The selected study area, in Liguria region (Italy), features a deep human influence in its landscape structure. In this context, it is necessary to investigate the role of these features in slope stability for a better comprehension of those phenomena and for a improved land planning.

Why is it important?
We point out the role of human intervention on land use and the imprtance of land maintenance in slope stability. Particularly where marginal activities, such as terraced agriculture, are carried out. This can lead to a lack in man made feature maintennce and thus an increase in slope instability.
