Why is it important?

It is important for government officials to understand their residents' perspectives regarding tourism in their community, and important to understand, as this research shows, that broad political views and party affiliations do not effectively reflect a resident's attitude when tourism is happening in their community.

Perspectives

This was an interesting study that shed light on a tourism perspective not often considered. We hope readers will enjoy the paper and that government officials and tourism planners can better navigate the political waters by applying the findings in their own communities.
