What is it about?
We analyzed for the first time the influence of high amount (up to 30 %) of cellulose microfibrils prepared by two different methods, mechanical disintegration of wood pulp and chemical treatment of cellulose, on the mechanical and thermal properties of polypropylene. The composite materials with 0.....30 wt% cellulose microfibrils were prepared by two different melt processing techniques.

Why is it important?
The significant influence of the different composition of cellulose fibers (with or without hemicellulose and lignin) on the mechanical and thermal behavior of polypropylene composites was emphasized in this work
