What is it about?
This study was designed to explore the potential effect of social desirability bias on responses to two commonly used measures of identity. It was found that social desirability bias didn't represent much of a threat to validity in research utilizing the two identity measures that were used in this study.

Social desirability bias (where research participants provide responses that they deem most socially acceptable) is of concern to researchers because it can skew results and cast serious doubt on the validity of findings.
