What is it about?
Two universities were approached by the Northern Ireland Environment Agency to assist them to quantify how much illegally dumped waste was on a site, with both land and water (hence two landowners) involved. A combination of dGPS and geophysics surveying was undertaken to quantify the waste. This information was then used to convict the perpetrator and to quantify his £250k clean-up bill.
