The empirical part of the paper highlights important concrete dimensions of contracting-out processes in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia, namely: A: The structure of forms of delivery of selected local public services. B: The decision-making processes concerning selection of the form of delivery. C: The costs of delivery of services for all existing forms of delivery.
