What is it about?
This paper describes the linguistic repertoire of the Italian migrants who arrived in London after the 2008 economic crisis. After the migration, these new migrants start to use English, Italian and sometimes their own dialect to present different aspects of their identity and their personal history.

Italy has a long history of emigration. The re-start of the phenomenon allows us to compare past and present migrants, understanding also how Italy changed socio-culturally and linguistically.
