What is it about?

This article considers how a small group of professional fathers went about requesting Shared Parental Leave from their employers. They tended to adopt two approaches - cautious and bold. Cautious fathers tended to adopt strategies that mitigated any anticipated career penalty, where bold fathers were less concerned about accommodating their employer's needs and were prepared to adjust their working hours to facilitate greater involvement as parents.
