What is it about?
We report on outcomes for difficult to treat depression in an NHS clinic using a new non medication based treatment. The treatment uses high powered magnets to stimulate the underlying brain tissue believed to be involved in the symptoms of depression.

Why is it important?
This is the first published data from an NHS clinic using rTMS in a clinical situation. The data is comparable to published data from other countries and shows that magnetic stimulation is an effective treatment option in the NHS.
