What is it about?
This case study examines the innovative approach to align LRC103 with LaGuardia Community College’s digital communication competency. In the redesigned midterm, students interacted and critically evaluated contributions made by their peers and contributed to scholarly conversation in a guided discussion.

Why is it important?
The thesis of this study is that the redesigned midterm advances digital communication as students use technology to both critique writing and communicate in a digital environment.
Perspectives
The innovative contribution to learning extends existing practice and supports curriculum development in for-credit library instruction classes, a unique endeavor in its own right, whereby students foster information literacy skills.
