What is it about?
The book has been developed on the basis of the European Union (EU) project ACRE.1 The experiences and policy strategies of 13 cities have been investigated: Amsterdam, Barcelona, Birmingham, Dublin, Helsinki, Milan, Munich, Toulouse, Budapest, Leipzig, Poznan, Riga and Sofia. Drawing on a series of interviews with policymakers, the book provides an original and thought-provoking view on adequate policies towards creative knowledge cities, their economic growth and competitiveness.
