Teaching about Sustainable Development Goals: Critical approach

What is it about?

Comparison of critical environmental education at Leiden University and The Hague University of Applied science in regard to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). SDGs are discussed as highly paradoxical and contentious in the context of critique of economic growth paradigm and sustainability objectives.

Why is it important?

Many people assume that policy coming out of UN regarding sustainable development goals is 'good'. In fact, it might not be as these are largely anthropocentric and economy-centered, and this has implications as to what we teach our students.
