What is it about?

The performance of a novel catalyst in the reforming process after gasification was examined for a woody biomass sample. A siginificant increase of hydrogen generation was observed and the results were discussed taking tar decomposition into account.

Why is it important?

There are many studies in the field of gasification and catalytic reforming for biomass. However, there are few studies that addressed both gas generation and tar decomposion. This study is valuable as a research that addressed the issue.

Perspectives

This research provides clear data and new value in the field of energy recovery from biomass waste by catalytic gasification.
