Honey bees are susceptible to insecticide toxicity in laboratory studies but less so in field studies

Why is it important?
As long as the beehive has a healthy and productive queen a bee colony may cope with insecticide toxicity unless immune suppression occurs, which may render the bee colony susceptible to pathogens
