What is it about?
The present study was carried out to identify,categorize and evaluate the environmental risk Harmful Algal Blooms in Persian Gulf and Oman Sea located at Iran . To this aim ,firstly, the risk factors of the harmful Algal bloom were identified using a questionnaire and a survey conducted amongst relevant experts.Then, to determine the extent of severity,probability and significance of each risk, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis and the Analytical hierarchy process methods were used. Subsequently , using risk_based technique for Order Preference Similarity to Ideal Solution method,all identified risks were ranked.

Therefore,a study was conducted to evaluate the environmental risk of harmful! algal bloom, as well as providing effective solutions to reduce the environmental risks of this phenomenon in the studied area.
