Why is it important?
a symptom is usually characterized by stability (it is an attractor) -- so you may wish to destabilize it by therapeutic interventions. A state of well-being is also a stable state, yet it may have weak stability in a client -- so you may wish stabilize it some more, also by therapeutic interventions
