What is it about?
This paper looks at voluntary carbon offsetting (VCO) and explains what it is, and why people do or do not offset. It also looks at the links between people's environmental behaviour and their offsetting choices. It found that not all pro-environmental people buy offsets and in fact lots of people are buying them just because they think it is the right thing to do.
