What is it about?
Whilst political freedom is better understood by the ordinary population, economic freedom is not. Similarly, whilst the measurement of political freedom is considerably known to ordinary citizens, the measurement of economic freedom is not. Therefore, this research note is about explaining the measurement of economic freedom and its drawbacks.

Why is it important?
Whilst the understanding of political freedom is necessary for understanding the political rights of citizens, a sound grasp of economic freedom is necessary to understand the economic rights of the citizens.
