Why is it important?

Many organisations seek real transformation, in order to improve outcomes for people and places, and thus reduce the real cost of public service delivery.

Perspectives

I am personally committed to seeking improvement in public services - supporting vulnerable people to sustain their lives, reducing the impact on the environment and supporting the economy. There are many definitions of digital transformation, and there is no doubt that technology can play a role in helping improve service delivery. But we must not see technology as an end in itself. Rather, we must focus on designing around the needs of our people and places in order to drive improvement, bringing the range of technologies together to help with this improvement.
